Fr. Bryan Bangs was ordained a priest by Bishop Edgar da Cunha on June 1, 2024, at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in Fall River, MA. He grew up in a strong practicing Catholic home of parents Joanne & Robert and three younger siblings. Fr. Bryan was an active member of Corpus Christi Church in East Sandwich, MA where his family are still parishioners. While at Corpus Christi, he received the Pope Pius X Award, taught faith formation, and was part of the parish’s youth group. Fr. Bryan also attended two of the Diocese of Fall River's yearly discernment retreats for young men called the Quo Vadis Days. He is musically inclined, especially enjoying piano and organ, and has made guest appearances with the Vatican III Jazz Band.
His sense of having a vocation to priesthood grew in particular through Eucharistic adoration and personal prayer, but also through the support of many kind priest friends and mentors. Fr. Bryan entered Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University, New Jersey, in 2018, earning both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Divinity degree while there. During his seminary formation, Fr. Bryan served at Santo Christo Church in Fall River, St. Thomas More Parish in Somerset, St. Louis de France Parish in Swansea, and St. Patrick’s Parish in Somerset. He is excited to begin his priestly ministry serving the people of Falmouth at St. Joseph, Guardian of the Holy Family Parish!
