Fr. Peter has spent most of his life in service to our nation. A graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point, and the US Army Ranger School, a career Army Infantry Officer, and a combat veteran in the Global War on Terror, Fr. Peter also later served as a US Diplomatic Peace Treaty Inspector, and as an Assistant Professor of Strategic & Operational Studies at the US Army’s Command & General Staff College in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.
Despite having traveled a
Long & Winding Road across the globe, Fr. Peter was no stranger to hearing God’s call toward a priestly vocation. After discerning a vocation with the Jesuits and deciding not to enter, Fr. Peter later heard the Holy Spirit calling him to the Diocesan Priesthood through the voice of Ken Watts on EWTN Radio (Vocation Boom Segment) who spoke about 'Late Vocations' and Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary.
Fr. Peter entered Priestly Formation in 2017 and completed his transition from the
Long & Winding Road to the
Road Less Traveled in June of 2021, when he was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood by Bishop Edgar da Cunha for the Fall River Diocese. Fr. Peter believes and prays that this path will lead him to a new and greater service; namely, service in Jesus Christ - which is as the Jesuits say:
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam - "For the Greater Glory of God!"
